Prosecutors in seven Northern California counties filed a lawsuit against Overstock.com on Wednesday, alleging the online retailer "routinely and systematically" makes untrue and misleading claims about the prices of its products.
The suit, filed in Alameda County Superior Court, seeks an injunction and $15 million in restitution and civil penalties for allegedly misleading claims made since January 1, 2006.
