Did PD's Work Create A Conflict of Interest?
SAN JOSE - A Santa Clara County prosecutor argued that Deputy Public Defender Charlie Gillan created a conflict of interest by giving "free stuff" to his client, a man charged with capital murder, when he did legal work defending against a related civil lawsuit.
