School district sued for abusing disabled students

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP filed a class action late Wednesday against Pomona Unified School District after developmentally disabled children came home with black eyes, scratches, and broken teeth from improperly trained aides.

Employees of Pomona Unified School District are alleged to have improperly used physical
punishment and restraints against students with developmental disabilities that resulted
in black eyes, cracked teeth, bruises and mental trauma, according to a suit filed
