Market consolidation surges, IPOs stall

Despite recent market volatility, deal making in the U.S. and worldwide remained strong in the third quarter of the year, bringing overall consolidation to a level not seen since the frenzy of mergers and acquisitions in 2007.

in the third quarter of the year, bringing overall consolidation to a level not seen
since the frenzy of mergers and acquisitions in 2007. The downturn has, however, dampened
