Whistle-Blower Wins $3.6M in Suit Against LAPD and Parks

LOS ANGELES - A federal jury on Thursday awarded $3.6 million in damages to a former Los Angeles Police Department civilian employee who claimed she was demoted, then fired after testifying in a lawsuit against the department for failing to pay overtime to officers.
