Oracle takes $306 million award from SAP in copyright case

Oracle Corp. agreed Thursday to accept a $306 million damage award from German rival SAP AG, ending the trial court phase of the massive copyright infringement litigation.

Oracle Corp. agreed Thursday to accept a $306 million damage award from German rival SAP AG, ending the trial court phase of the copyright infringement litigation between the companies.


The deal came a day after Redwood Shores-based Oracle lost a different battle to computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. after slugging it out over a contract dispute.


And it came just a little more than two months...
