WASHINGTON - The Senate Judiciary Committee approved two California judicial nominees on Thursday, setting up the pair for possible confirmation votes in the full Senate.
The panel advanced U.S. Magistrate Judge Fernando M. Olguin, tapped for the district court in Los Angeles, and U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer of San Francisco, selected to join the U.S. Sentencing Commission.
