The State Bar is demanding that 2,600 lawyers prove they completed their minimum continuing legal education requirement last year.
The bar announced Wednesday that it is auditing the MCLE compliance of about 5 percent of lawyers who turned in completion certificates in February. Those lawyers come from the group whose last names begin with the letters H through M.
