Dunham fought long and hard for newspaper carriers in Sacramento last year, and her efforts paid off when carriers for The Sacramento Bee ultimately won class certification in a misclassification case alleging that the carriers were employees, not independent contractors. Sawin et al. v. The McClatchy Co. et al., 34-2009-0003950 (Sacramento Super. Ct., filed Feb. 5, 2009).
