Civil suit filed against Fullerton over homeless man's death

The complaint filed by the father of Kelly Thomas attempts to show a widespread pattern of police misconduct, which some experts said could lead to spin-off trials.

Alleging a "culture of corruption and deliberate indifference" in the Fullerton Police Department, the father of a mentally ill homeless man who died after a run-in with police officers has sued the city and the officers involved.
