Baker & McKenzie represents pesticide developer in sale

Bayer CropScience's $500 million purchase of AgraQuest Inc. represents a move to strengthen its agricultural technology portfolio.

Baker & McKenzie LLP lawyers led by Palo Alto corporate partner Matthew R. Gemello represented Davis-based AgraQuest Inc. in its nearly $500 million purchase by a subgroup of global conglomerate Bayer AG.


Germany-based Bayer CropScience LP will pay $425 million plus milestone payments to acquire AgraQuest in a bid to strengthen its agricultural disease and pest control portfolio.
