San Diego-based software company Seismic has received a $40 million strategic growth investment from New York-based General Atlantic.
General Atlantic joins JMI Equity and Jackson Square Ventures as minority shareholders in Seismic. JMI Equity is a company owned by John Moores, who formerly owned the San Diego Padres.
Gary Reiner, former chief information officer at GE and operating partner at General Atlantic, will join Seismic's board of directors.
