9th Circuit rules parents can intervene in suit on disability education centers
The court unanimously ruled that despite a months' long delay in filing, parents of disabled children had the right to intervene in a class action to oppose the Los Angeles Unified School District's closing of special education centers.

A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Friday unanimously ruled in favor of parents seeking to maintain separate education centers for their disabled children, saying their delay in filing a motion to intervene in a class action was due to inadequate notice, and their rights would be significantly impaired if litigation proceeded without them.
