Law firm revenue reaches 2008 levels

Large law firm revenue rose in the first quarter to levels it hasn't hit since before 2008, according to a survey from Citi Private Bank's Law Firm Group.

Large law firm revenue rose in the first quarter of the year at a level it hasn't hit since the start of 2008, according to a survey from Citi Private Bank's Law Firm Group.

The average revenue growth was 5.8 percent, stemming from an increase in demand for legal services, attorneys charging higher rates and a shorter collection cycle, the survey said.
