LAUSD settles for $88 million in sexual misconduct cases

The Los Angeles Unified Schools District will pay $88 million in settlement money to 30 victims who were abused at two district elementary schools.

The Los Angeles Unified School District will pay $88 million to settle with 30 victims of sexual abuse across two of its elementary schools.

It is the largest per person settlement in a matter involving sexual abuse of children and public entities, plaintiffs' attorneys said.
