State Bar seeks more than 180 days to resolve complaints against attorneys

The agency proposed to the Legislature that it be given more time to resolve complaints against attorneys before they are considered part of the backlog, and it would require $4.9 million to $8.6 million in additional funding to meet new timetables.

The State Bar proposed to the Legislature that it be given more than 180 days to resolve complaints against attorneys before they are considered part of the backlog, and the agency has said it would require $4.9 million to $8.6 million in additional funding to consistently meet proposed new timetables.
