State Bar reports 35.7 exam pass rate
The agency says 45 percent of first-timers passed the three-day exam in February.
The State Bar reported Friday that 1,700 people passed the February bar exam, or 35.7 percent of the 4,758 applicants who took the test.
Preliminary statistical analyses show that nearly a third of the applicants were first-time takers, and that the passing rate for those 1,395 people was 45 percent overall, the bar said in a statement posted on its web site.
