Aspiring fitness model awarded $21.6 million after injury in moped accident

An aspiring fitness model was awarded $21.6 million by a jury Monday in a case where a dentist struck her moped with his car, severely injuring her.

A U.K. citizen whose career as a fitness model came to an end when she was seriously injured in a car accident a week after being dropped by her insurance carrier was awarded $21.6 million in damages Monday by a Los Angeles jury, ruling the dentist who hit her was negligent.
