Imperial Beach finally getting new shopping center

Officials on Thursday will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Breakwater Town Center, a development of Sudberry Properties at Palm Avenue and Ninth Street in Imperial Beach.

Officials on Thursday will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for Breakwater Town Center, a development of Sudberry Properties at Palm Avenue and Ninth Street in Imperial Beach.

The proposed 45,000-square-foot center is being built on State Route 75, the road connecting the Silver Strand and Coronado, and is projected to be completed in late 2017.
