Comcast acquires DreamWorks for $3.8 billion

The deal provides Comcast with new IP for films and theme parks.

Comcast Corp. announced Thursday its $3.8 billion acquisition of DreamWorks Animation SKG, providing a significant amount of new family-friendly intellectual property for animated films and other markets.
