Hitachi to plead guilty to price fixing in SF federal court

The Japanese electronics giant has agreed to plead guilty in San Francisco federal court to conspiring with erstwhile competitors to fix prices on electrolytic capacitors.

Tiny gizmos are about to be a big headache for Japanese electronics giant Hitachi Chemical Co. Ltd.

The company has agreed to plead guilty in San Francisco federal court to conspiring with erstwhile competitors to fix prices on electrolytic capacitors - little electronic components found in everything from computers and televisions to car engines and airbag systems.
