The state Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to review a $1.3 million legal fee dispute pitting Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP against former firm client J-M Manufacturing Company Inc.
By accepting the case, the high court has an opportunity to provide clearer guidelines on how law firms and clients can enter into advance conflict waivers.
