Investor Admits Trading on Attorney 'Slip'

SAN FRANCISCO - A Palo Alto investor on Tuesday admitted lying to securities officials about a "slip of the tongue" by a former Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison associate who inadvertently tipped him last year in advance of the $2 billion acquisition of Cobalt Networks by Sun Microsystems.
