SAN FRANCISCO - Sharply curtailing an antitrust case by 27 independent booksellers, a federal judge has ruled that the group can seek an injunction - but not damages - against giant bookstore chains Barnes & Noble and Borders for alleged sweetheart deals with publishers to drive competitors out of business.
