Judge Dismisses Burned-Baby Case

LOS ANGELES - In a decision that prosecutors may appeal, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Friday overturned a jury's guilty verdict against a 38-year-old woman who failed to seek immediate medical care for her critically scalded foster son. The toddler died two weeks later of his injuries.
