Morgan Lewis: LOS ANGELES' ADEXA BOUGHT FOR $380 MILLION IN STOCK

Online software auctioneer FreeMarkets Inc. has agreed to buy e-commerce software company Adexa Inc. The stock deal is worth $380 million. Pittsburgh's FreeMarkets makes auction software that enables customers to find suppliers and buy direct goods or raw materials over the Web. The company's clients include Quaker Oats Co. and SmithKline Beecham, now GlaxoSmithKline.
