Pillsbury Winthrop: VODAFONE BUYS STAKE IN MEXICO'S GRUPO IUSACELL

Britain's Vodafone Group is buying a one-third interest in Mexico's Grupo Iusacell. The cash deal is worth $973.4 million. Vodafone is the world's largest mobile phone carrier, with more than 78 million subscribers in the United States (through a partnership with Verizon Wireless), Germany and the United Kingdom.
