The 'Pink Tarantula' Murder Trial Opens in S.F. Courtroom

SAN FRANCISCO - After four years of delays, the notorious "Pink Tarantula" case went to trial Monday in San Francisco. Two men are charged as part of an alleged murder-for-hire conspiracy in which flamboyant hair stylist Carmel Sanger was shot to death in her South of Market salon on March 5, 1997.
