Rapist to Get New Trial on Mental State

SAN BERNARDINO - Prosecutors Friday decided to retry the mental soundness trial of a man who raped his own mother. San Bernardino County Deputy District Attorney Cameron Page announced his decision to retry Steven Daniel Matthews in a hearing before Judge John N. Martin, who set a pretrial hearing for April 6.
