Jury Finds Doctors Liable for Insurance Fraud

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles Superior Court jury Thursday awarded $8.2 million to Allstate Insurance Co. after finding three doctors liable for fraud. The whistle-blower's lawsuit named six doctors and nine clinics throughout the Los Angeles area. Three doctors settled, and a jury, after deliberating for two weeks, concluded that the other three bilked Allstate Insurance out of millions of dollars, according to Dennis Kass, attorney for the plaintiff.
