Jury awards verdict in accident

A Riverside man was awarded nearly $5.4 million for injuries he suffered in a construction accident.

RIVERSIDE -- A Riverside man was awarded nearly $5.4 million for injuries he suffered in a construction accident. A Riverside County Superior Court jury granted Brian Richeson, 46, $10.7 million in damages after a trial last week, but Judge Sharon Waters cut in half the award against Tovey/Shultz Construction Inc. because the panel found Richeson partially negligent.
