San Francisco court announces changes

Presiding Judge Katherine Feinstein announced a number of changes Friday to compensate for 75 employees the court still expects to lay off.

With the recent approval of $2.5 million in emergency funding from the Judicial Council, San Francisco County Superior Court plans to maintain its two existing civil complex litigation department and 10 general civil trial departments.

Even so, Presiding Judge Katherine Feinstein announced a number of changes Friday to compensate for 75 employees the court still expects to lay off. The changes include:
