Pharmaceutical executive will appeal exclusion from Medicare

InterMune Inc.'s former chief executive, convicted of wire fraud in connection with off-label marketing of a drug, will appeal an administrative order excluding him from Medicare and all other federal health care programs.
W. Scott Harkonen, who is appealing his 2009 felony conviction to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, learned of his 5-year exclusion in a letter dated Aug. 31 from the U.S....
