Jayne Kim, an assistant U.S. attorney in Los Angeles and a former discipline prosecutor, will become the State Bar's next chief trial counsel, the bar announced Wednesday afternoon.
In an unusual move, the bar also hired James P. Fox, the veteran San Mateo County district attorney, as a part-time consultant to advise Kim on managing and reorganizing the troubled discipline prosecution unit....
