Former GC ready to settle SEC suit

Lisa C. Berry, former general counsel of Juniper Networks Inc. and KLA-Tencor Corp., and the Securities and Exchange Commission are poised to settle the government agency's civil lawsuit on undisclosed terms.

If the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission approves a written settlement offer by Lisa C. Berry, a former general counsel at Juniper Networks Inc. and KLA-Tencor Corp. accused of backdating stock option grants, the government will be closer to concluding the years-old saga.


Berry's case is one of the few remaining government backdating lawsuits still unresolved.
