San Jose lawyer wins new trial on money laundering charges

San Jose criminal defense attorney Jamie L. Harley, who was convicted of money laundering last summer, has won a new trial.

San Jose criminal defense attorney Jamie L. Harley, who was convicted of money laundering last summer, has won a new trial.


Northern District Chief Judge James Ware of San Francisco on Thursday rejected defense attorneys' arguments for an acquittal but determined that errors in the jury instructions warranted a retrial. Ware also presided over the original trial.
