Last week's market volitility did more than leave some retirement accounts in the red-it could ultimately lead to a large discount in some lawyers' fees.

PALO ALTO - Last week's market volitility did more than leave some retirement accounts in the red - it could ultimately lead to a large discount in some lawyers' fees.


Ten initial public offerings were put off last week as the market swung hundreds of points up and down. California counsel advised either the issuer or underwriters on half of those shelved deals.
