Mattel plans to appeal Bratz award

Mattel Inc. filed a notice Thursday of its intent to appeal a federal judge’s decision to award MGA Entertainment Inc. nearly $310 million in legal fees and damages in the toymakers’ war over MGA’s famous Bratz dolls.
