Eight former professional football players filed a lawsuit against the National Football League Tuesday claiming they were each injected hundreds or thousands of times with prescription drugs to keep them on the field despite injuries.

Eight former professional football players sued the National Football League Tuesday claiming they were injected hundreds or thousands of times with prescription drugs to keep them on the field despite injuries. The class action, filed in the Northern District of California, alleges that the former players have a variety of serious afflictions as a result.
