Are the Clippers a "franchise" protected by California franchise laws? By Jonathan Solish
On April 29, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver issued a lifetime ban on Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers franchise, based upon racist comments he apparently made to a female friend in a private conversation.
