Representing the Chapter 11 trustee for Guess Jeans co-founder Georges Marciano proved to be "a nightmare" for Cantor.


At issue, Marciano had been placed into an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding by judgment creditors holding claims aggregating $260 million. Those judgments were on appeal.


The trustee was appointed after the debtor refused to file schedules, statements or otherwise disclose assets, liabilities and transfers, Cantor said.
