Irell & Manella receives pro bono award from UCI Law

UC Irvine School of Law honored Irell & Manella LLP and Orange County attorney Daniel Cornelious Jr. for their work assisting the university's law students in public service at its annual Pro Bono Awards on April 10. Irell attorneys received the Pro Bono Partner Award for supervising and mentoring UCI law students in a number of pro bono programs, including assisting low-income debtors in completing and filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy applications and handling ongoing litigation involving active military personnel and veterans. Cornelious, who received the Pro Bono Community Advocate Award, created the Clean State Clinic — a monthly expungement clinic that is the first of its kind in Orange County — alongside UCI law students. — Kylie Reynolds
