Tuesday's U.S. Supreme Court decision allowing traffic stops based solely on an anonymous tip drew sharp criticism from criminal defense attorneys.
"Anonymous tips are unreliable," said John Abrahams, co-chair of the legislative committee of the California Public Defenders Association. "People who take ownership of what they have to say are more reliable."
