Eastern District judge selected to join panel overseeing state prisons

The only female Article III judge on the Eastern District has been selected to sit on a panel overseeing a solution to California's overcrowded prison system.

The only female Article III judge on the Eastern District bench has been selected to sit on a panel overseeing a solution to California's overcrowded prison system.


U.S. District Judge Kimberly J. Mueller, who was appointed in 2010, is described as pragmatic and a political moderate.
