Realignment central issue in Sacramento DA race

Candidates' positions on the state's policy that shifted thousands of inmates to county jails took top billing at a debate between the chief contenders this week.

SACRAMENTO - Anne Marie Schubert, a supervising deputy district attorney in Sacramento and a contender in the race for county district attorney, didn't mince words at a debate among candidates this week at Pacific McGeorge School of Law. When it comes to realignment, said Schubert, a Republican, she's not the biggest fan.
