LOS ANGELES - A memorial service will take place Friday at the U.S. District Courthouse in Los Angeles for Judge William Matthew Byrne Jr., a beloved figure who served as a district judge for 35 years.
Byrne died Jan. 12 of pulmonary fibrosis. He was 75.
