State Supreme Court to hold off on rule to release bar exam pass list

The court said it made the decision after receiving public comment and consulting with both houses of the Legislature.

The state Supreme Court announced Tuesday it has decided not to move forward with a proposed rule that would have allowed the State Bar to resume releasing the names of those who pass the bar exam.

Meanwhile, a law remains on the books that the bar has interpreted as preventing it from doing so.
