Broadcom to buy Brocade for $5.9 billion

Latham & Watkins, Wilson Sonsini is advising Broadcom Ltd. and Brocade Communications Systems Inc. on the deal.

Singapore-based Broadcom Ltd. plans to buy Brocade Communications Systems Inc., a San Jose maker of networking equipment, for $5.9 billion.

Latham & Watkins LLP is advising Broadcom. Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC is counseling Brocade. Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates is advising Evercore Group LLC, financial adviser to Brocade.
