A woman who fell victim to a fraudulent mortgage loan has been awarded $30.5 million by a Los Angeles County Superior Court jury and could win more in a case plaintiffs' attorneys say is an overdue victory for victims of foreclosure abuse born of the financial crisis.
Arguments over punitive damages are scheduled Tuesday.
