Locally imposed taxes range from very low to moderately high, as indicated in the 2000 Kosmont Cost of Doing Business Survey-National Online Edition . Business license taxes are fairly low, but utility and property taxes vary quite a bit from city to city. Ten communities are covered here: Arcadia, Covina, Diamond Bar, El Monte, Industry, Irwindale, Monterey Park, Pomona, Rosemead, and West Covina. Of these, Diamond Bar, Rosemead and West Covina all received very low cost ratings.
